An Evening of Live Music at Montage Palmetto Bluff Along the May River
A Beautiful Evening in the Heart of the Lowcountry
Some evenings have a way of slowing time.
As the sun settled over the May River, guests gathered at The River House at Montage Palmetto Bluff for an elegant evening in one of the Lowcountry's most beautiful settings. Before the first guests arrived, the Fire Pit Lawn had been thoughtfully transformed with soft blue linens, elegant floral centerpieces, inviting lounge seating, and panoramic views stretching across the river. Towering live oaks draped in Spanish moss framed the landscape alongside tall pines and graceful palms while a half moon slowly rose overhead.
If you're discovering my music for the first time, I invite you to explore more live performances, original songs, and upcoming appearances on my Music page.

Creating the Soundtrack for a Memorable Gathering
Following dinner at The River House, the celebration continued outdoors as guests made their way onto the Fire Pit Lawn. Conversations lingered around the fire pits, friends reconnected beneath the oaks, and the gentle breeze drifting across the May River created the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.
It was a privilege to provide the soundtrack.
Throughout the night, I performed an acoustic blend of country, folk, classic rock, reggae, and original songs inspired by a lifetime of travel, friendships, and experiences. Every gathering has its own rhythm, and one of the things I enjoy most is reading the atmosphere as the evening unfolds.
Sometimes the music becomes the center of attention. Other times, it quietly becomes part of the setting, allowing conversations to flow naturally while adding warmth, energy, and a sense of place.
That balance is what makes live music such an important part of memorable events. Watch the music video of my performance of my original song “Thank You Momma.” At the end of the evening a group of folks asked it it was my own original saying it moved them to tears. My originals blend seamlessly amongst covers that set the vibe giving guests a one of a kind moment to be shared at low country events.
Experiencing Montage Palmetto Bluff Through Music and Photography
As both a photographer and musician, I have come to appreciate remarkable places from two very different perspectives.
Having photographed weddings and celebrations at Montage Palmetto Bluff over the years, returning with a guitar offered an entirely new way to experience a destination I have long admired. Instead of documenting memories through a camera, I had the opportunity to help create them through music.
Experiencing the venue from both sides has only deepened my appreciation for its exceptional hospitality, breathtaking scenery, and the thoughtful details that make every gathering feel effortless.
If you are planning a wedding or special event at the resort, you can also explore our work as Montage Palmetto Bluff Wedding Photographers on Maring Visuals. Having spent years documenting celebrations at this extraordinary destination, it is always a pleasure to return and experience it in a new way.
Why Live Music Matters at Luxury Resort Events
The most memorable events are rarely defined by one single element. They are created through the combination of setting, hospitality, design, food, conversation, and moments that bring people together.
Live music has the unique ability to connect all of those elements. It can welcome guests, create energy, encourage conversation, and transform a beautiful location into an unforgettable experience.
Places like Montage Palmetto Bluff remind me why I enjoy performing intimate gatherings. The combination of exceptional hospitality, breathtaking scenery, and genuine human connection creates the kind of evenings people remember long after the final song.
Celebrating the Lowcountry Through Stories, Music, and Art
The Lowcountry has always been a source of inspiration for me. Through photography, music, and storytelling, I continue to explore the people, places, and experiences that make this region extraordinary.
