New York Story is a look back at a time early in my career when myself and my wife moved to a tiny little apartment in the quaint little neighborhood of West Chelsea in Manhattan. I barely had a plan, but spent the next several years working hard to find success as artists in the city that never sleeps. During that time I created a massive amount of personal work capturing time lapses, video clips, and photographs as we witnessed a neighborhood in the midst of epic change. The Highline was built right before our eyes, and Hudson Yards was being developed. Many hot, and cold days were spent creating the historical footage in this music video. I animated the story to bring it to life in an artistic way. This is a beautiful memory. An era gone by. A time when we struggled, but a time filled with dreams, and that’s why I had to write this song.
