This song is for all the sailors out there living free out on the water. In Search of that Sand is an epic tale about sailing in the Caribbean. I spent a good part of my youth sailing with my dad, and to this day it is my single most favorite thing to do. There is just a freedom that can be felt under sail that nothing I’ve experienced compares to.
I’ve own a couple 30 foot boats along the way sailing up in Long Island Sound. Myself, wife, and the family chartered several times and island hopped a quite a bit for a couple weeks at a time as well. However my biggest dream is to buy a 40’ blue water sailboat and spend a few years in constant motion. This song celebrates that dream, and all those actually living it.
