Pearl of the City

Isn’t it funny how the simplest things can sometimes turn out be the most interesting? That’s how this came to be while standing outside the hotel in West Chelsea NYC that evening with time to kill. It’s always best to have a camera on you in moments like this, which is why I always do. First it was the color of the building, followed by the glowing horns attached to the outside structure. Then it was the texture of the sidewalk, and the view up to the sky, that prompted me to put the camera to my eye. Alone each photograph had it’s merit, but there had to be more to the reason that I was offered this moment in time. So, I combined them digitally into this little number I call “ The Pearl of the City”. Sometimes it’s right there in front of you if you take the time to see it through to the end.
